SHANGHAI, June 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- China's Top 100 Listed Companies of 2015 was recently announced by a joint partnership between China Development Press, China United Holding Group, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the Development Research Center of the State Council of China. 37Games made the list at No. 16 due to its excellence in management and product innovation.

It is the first time ever that the number of private enterprises on the list surpassed that of state-owned companies. Meanwhile, more enterprises like 37Games which are from new and emerging industries can be seen on the list. 37Games, formally known as Shunrong Sanqi, completed its renaming on Jan 19th, 2016. It is now a comprehensive enterprise in the business of both entertainment and manufacturing. Total revenue of 37Games for the fiscal year ending in 2015 was RMB 4.66 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 678.43%. Net income attributable to shareholders increased by 1224.18% from last year to RMB 506 million.

The gaming market as a whole is very promising. According to first-quarter earnings released earlier this year, all 8 game companies on the list were profitable, total revenue reaching RMB 3.74 billion and total net income reaching RMB 847 million. 37Games alone reported a first-quarter revenue of RMB 1.19 billion, ranking first within the industry.

37Games' success is largely due to its large diversity within the game industry. Its browser games are growing steadily in market share, while revenue of its mobile games has also increased by 300% since 2014. In overseas markets, 37Games now provides services to players from more than 70 countries within multiple regions. Its international games platform has more than 45 million registered users and opens an average of 544 new servers per month.

Meanwhile, 37Games is always looking for new opportunities. On March 7th, 2016, 37Games signed an investment agreement with Archiact Interactive Ltd., a Canadian virtual reality game developer. According to the agreement, G-Mei Network Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of 37Games, will invest USD 3.17 million in Archiact and take a 10% stake in the company. 37Games' investment in Archiact will be its first step into the growing virtual reality market, where all kinds of possibilities and opportunities are quickly emerging.

From browser-based games to mobile apps, and now VR entertainment, 37Games has kept the belief that the future gaming market is of high diversity and the competition will be intense. Future plans of 37Games also include film, animation and video streaming, making the company a leading comprehensive entertainment platform in the global marketplace.
