Ever since its debut in 1996, YICFFF has been the flagship summer event in Taiwan and the most anticipated cultural festival by fans of all ages. It is by far the only culture and arts festival in Asia that has been certified by the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF), an official partner of UNESCO. In terms of folklore performances, this year's lineup boasts 28 groups from 16 countries including Russia, Japan, Slovakia, Finland, the Philippines, Thailand, and Estonia, among others, as well as 12 top-flight Taiwanese troupes. What both children and grownups eagerly look forward to is the water games, which take the amusing appearance of cute animals this year while bringing all the excitement. The Monkey King Tower, the tallest construction in the park, is an interactive facility featuring physical challenges, excellent creativity, and lots of surprises as it comprises a variety of interesting games incorporated into a labyrinth. There is also the Little Creative Nation: Parent-child Playroom, which is specifically designed for children from zero to six. As for exhibitions, the Summer Paradise Illustration Gallery presents works by famous illustrators such as Mr. Eyeball, Meng-chia Lai, and Whooli Chen, who will lead visitors on a tour through the secret paradise inside their brains. Last but not least, there is the Kiddo Fun Handmade Market, where visitors get to shop for exquisite handicrafts or even make one with their own hands!

Besides, to facilitate transportation from outside Yilan County to the park, a special program called "Pair Up for Goodies" has been officially announced. Visitors to the park are entitled to the two-for-one admission discount by presenting ticket stubs of the same day or the previous day from the Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) or National Freeway buses (including Capital Bus, Kamalan Bus, Metropolitan Transport and Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport), which also grant free rides on Yilan's "Red Major Artery" and "Green Scenic Spot" shuttle buses. YICFFF also works in partnership with national freeway carriers to provide a daily total of 49 runs of shuttle buses directly to the park from various stations in Taipei. Furthermore, TRA will run additional commuter express trains between Shulin and Luodong on Saturdays and Sundays between July 9 and August 14.
