HONG KONG, Sept. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- TUV Rheinland Greater China worked closely with CNOOD to help the company complete the certification process for EN 1090 Steel Structures CE marking and ISO 3834 Welding Quality Assurance. The certificate presentation ceremony was held at CNOOD Asia Ltd. on July 27, 2016. The EN 1090 and ISO 3834 certificates were presented by Dr. Chen Weikang, Vice President of Industrial Services, TUV Rheinland Greater China, and received by Mr. Dennis Chi (Executive Director, CNOOD), corporate partners Mr. Tiger Ding and Ms. Fay Li on behalf of CNOOD.
CNOOD has been undertaking pipeline and steel structure projects for overseas customers since 2008. Growing regulatory and welding quality requirements from EU and Middle-East markets led to CNOOD raising its own requirements on the steel structure compliance and welding quality. Finding an authoritative organization with an experienced and highly qualified team on steel structure certification and welding quality assurance to oversee the company's steel structure compliance, welding quality system development and certification became a top priority. Due to TUV Rheinland's wealth of experience in steel structure certification and welding quality assurance certification as well as its highly professional team in Greater China, CNOOD eventually settled on TUV Rheinland as its partner for steel structure CE and welding quality assurance certification.

EU construction laws require all steel structure products to be EN 1090 certified before they can be exported to the EU. Many parts of the Middle-East, Africa and even South America also require the EN 1090 certification before manufacturers may undertake steel structure and related projects in their country. As an EU authorized inspection and certification organization, TUV Rheinland provides CNOOD with the solid backing it needs to enter the EU and other regional markets.
