Cafe on 8 Launches the International Semi-Buffet Lunch & Weekend Afternoon Tea

HONG KONG, Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Nestled amidst the tranquil Mid-levels neighbourhood, Cafe on 8, a secret dining spot at Two MacDonnell Road, now unveils its scrumptious international menu for the daily semi-buffet lunch, with some of the city's best variety of tempting delicacies, along with exotic weekend afternoon tea which offers selection of savouries, detox juices and pancake station, allowing diners a refreshing and vigorous day.

Indulge in a wide variety of buffet items, with unlimited hearty soup, bountiful sashimi, farm-fresh salads and delectable desserts at just HKD98. Diners can choose to add an additional HKD50 for a rotating choice of Asian or Western main course to complement the meal.  The semi-buffet lunch is provided between 12:00 noon and 2:30pm daily. Popular main dishes among our regulars include Penne Pasta with Smoked Salmon and Dill Cream Sauce, Pan-fried Prawns with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Lamb Chops with Braised Red Wine Shallots. Other buffet favourites are Deluxe Seafood Salad, Waldorf Salad and Creme Brulee.

For those who need an energy reboot in the afternoon, Cafe on 8 provides a weekend afternoon tea from 2:45pm to 5:00pm on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Starting from HKD48, diners can enjoy Mixed Berries Granola Parfait, fun-sharing savouries including Mini Chicken Burger, Crispy Samosa and Thai Fish Cakes, Wine and Assorted Cheese Platter and five specially designed detox juices in a relaxing environment. Sweet lovers cannot miss the freshly made pancake station which offers varieties of topping sauces, condiments such as chocolate chips, marshmallows, peanut butter and mixed fruits. At HKD98 for adult and HKD78 for child, diners can enjoy not only freshly made pancakes but also selected pastries and beverages.
