HONG KONG, Dec. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Further to the success of the first Building Surveyor Awards held in 2015, Building Surveying Division of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS - BSD) invites all building surveyors and industry practitioners to submit entries for the Building Surveyor Awards 2017 (BSA 2017).
The Building Surveyor Awards are the most prestigious honor in building surveying profession to give public recognition to preeminent projects in terms of design, innovation, management, sustainability and achievement with substantial contribution by Building Surveyors.
In the coming BSA 2017, participants from 2 groups namely Client / Client's representative and Consultants may nominate their projects under 3 categories: New Development, A&A and Conversion, and Maintenance and Rehabilitation. A winner from each group of each category will be selected by the respective Jury Panel. The Grand Award will be granted to one out of these six winning projects.
This year, 3 new Awards namely Sustainability Award, Value Enhancement Award and Idea & Approach Award are firstly introduced to commend building surveyor's contribution to projects in terms of sustainability, economic and social values, and idea, technology and / or innovation.
All required nomination documents must be submitted no later than 5pm on 28 February, 2017. Interested parties can submit the nomination form and the nomination fee by 16 December 2016 for enjoying a 10% early-bird discount.
