SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the video conferencing endpoints and infrastructure market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Huawei with the 2016 Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Frost & Sullivan Award for Growth Excellence Leadership. Huawei's pioneering in end-to-end video conferencing solutions market and keen focus on delivering exceptional value to customers and partners globally have helped it outpace the growth of the overall market. While the mature EMEA video conferencing endpoints market grew at 9.9% in 2015, Huawei grew at a remarkable 22.3%.

Each of Huawei's core business segments of carrier, enterprise, and consumer grew significantly in terms of global revenue in 2015. Video conferencing, a sub-segment of enterprise, grew by 10.1% in revenue and 23.8% in shipments, mainly due to its implementation of several organic growth initiatives. In addition to a comprehensive video conferencing portfolio, the company boasts state-of-the-art R&D facilities that make frequent product launches possible. Innovation is a key competitive factor in a mature market, and Huawei has outdistanced its peers in this regard.

"Importantly, Huawei's well-structured partner strategy supports its vision of establishing a better-connected world. It has orchestrated a global channel ecosystem and fostered deep relations with distributors, value-added partners, global partners, carriers, and Tier II channel partners," said Frost & Sullivan Industry Analyst Vaishno. "By the end of 2015, Huawei EBG had increased the total number of global channel partners and solution partners to more than 8,000 and 350, respectively."

One of the main objectives of the company is to move towards an 'All Cloud' environment, and in line with this goal, it launched cloud multipoint control unit (MCU) and cloud video conferencing endpoints in 2016. These new products collaborate with each other to ensure smooth cloud-device collaboration, allowing enterprises to gain tangible benefits from cloud communications. The cloud endpoint, TE10, integrates six functional modules (HD camera, codec, microphone, speaker, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth, foldable bracket) into a single box for small-sized conference rooms, while its TE20 is targeted at small- and medium-sized conference rooms. Both TE10 and TE20 support integration with third-party cloud platforms.

Furthermore, as part of its organic growth strategy, Huawei introduced the eSpace Unified Communication (UC) platform, a fully cloud-enabled enterprise product that includes voice, video, voice mail, console, unified messaging, conferencing, directory, and presence. This platform aids communication-enabled business processes by tightly integrating with enterprises' business applications to deliver converged solutions. The company plans to present this solution through channels that can host it as a UCC service, or deploy it at the customer's premises.

"Huawei has consistently demonstrated that it has a solid roadmap to drive organic growth and margins," noted Vaishno. "It complements this growth with a disciplined partnership strategy that enhances its reach among enterprises."

Having positioned itself at the cutting edge of technological innovation, Huawei aims to provide a rich video conferencing experience for users at distributed locations, utilizing different endpoints across a range of platforms. Its research in H.265, the next-generation video coding technology for future video, has reaffirmed its reputation as a technology enabler in the video conferencing industry.
