SEOUL, South Korea, Feb. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The global total logistics company Pantos Logistics' Hong Kong (HK) Company has recently announced that it has been internationally certified for its excellence in import and export safety management systems by acquiring an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate from the customs authority.

The AEO certificate is an international standard that is designed by the World Customs Organization in order to accept enhanced trade safety measures since the U.S. 9/11 terrorist attacks. Customs authorities in each country strictly examine compliance with regulations, internal control systems, safety management, financial soundness, and other matters and certify qualified export/import businesses and logistics companies and provide them with benefits, such as customs clearance simplification.

With the acquisition of the AEO certificate, Pantos Logistics will receive various customs administrative benefits in the country, such as the simplification of documents to be submitted for the customs clearance of cargos during export and import, reduced inspection rates, and expedited customs clearance, and is able to increase its public confidence in foreign countries by being officially recognized for its safety and excellence in logistics services. Pantos Logistics will also be able to gain various direct and indirect effects because the same benefits will be provided by customs authorities in countries that have the AEO certificate mutual recognition arrangements with Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Pantos Logistics is operating 349 networks in the world and is leading the global standardization of the logistics industry by establishing a global standard system for overall logistics services, including quality, security, and environment, and acquiring certificates.
