Schneider Electric has emerged a market leader with its superior customer responsiveness, partnerships with industry suppliers, and global footprint

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the power correction market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Schneider Electric with the 2016 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for New Product Innovation. Schneider Electric's new range of AccuSine+ solutions offers flexible designs for ultra-fast and accurate harmonic cancellation, as well as reactive current compensation for power quality management. It emphasizes reliability, availability, scalability, cost, and control during the product development phase, and, along with its suppliers, broadens the market for efficient and sustainable energy.

AccuSine PCS+ is the only harmonic filter in the world to have THD(I) or THD(V) set points. It reduces harmonic current distortion to acceptable levels to improve plant reliability and stability, and, unlike passive filters, cannot be overloaded. It measures harmonic content in the main current and injects a synthesized corrective current to meet local and international standards such as IEEE 519-2014. Additionally, it uses an advanced control algorithm that provides correction beyond the requirements of the standards, ensuring power availability and equipment longevity.

Meanwhile, AccuSine PFV+ corrects power quality problems faster than traditional capacitor banks and has infinite correction resolution, resulting in greater precision without voltage spikes. The AccuSine PFV+ product range enables correct leading or lagging power factor without the risk of resonance or harmonic overload, which is common in traditional capacitor banks.

"Both AccuSine PCS+ and PFV+ feature multi-function designs with top or bottom cable routing and compact footprint. Each employs the latest power electronic technologies for displacement power factor correction and main current balancing," said Frost & Sullivan Program Manager Pritil Gunjan. "Schneider Electric also makes a concerted effort to upgrade its existing product ranges and present up-to-date support literature and documentation to aid the proper use and installation of AccuSine+."

Power factor correction and harmonic filtering form an important part of Schneider Electric's product range, coordinated to meet medium- and low-voltage power distribution needs. They improve continuity of service, guarantee scalability, and make monitoring and management more efficient.

Another important component of Schneider Electric's portfolio is its reactive energy management systems, which optimize electrical installations and improve power availability by reducing energy consumption. The company boasts a unique and full range of power quality management solutions  tested for reliability, safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.

"Schneider is committed to its innovation goals and has developed a new 2015-2020 program to significantly improve the capacity and response speed of the supply chain while strengthening economic and geographical footprints," noted Pritil. "These initiatives are expected to provide customers with a customized logistics response that meets their expectations while ensuring sustainability."

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has developed an innovative element in a product by leveraging leading-edge technologies. The award recognizes the value-added features and benefits of the product, as well as the increased ROI it offers customers. This, in turn, raises customer acquisition and overall market penetration potential.
