SHANGHAI, Apr. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The output value of China's environmental industry by 2020 will exceed RMB 2.8 trillion (US$404.4 billion) with an average annual growth rate of above 15%. "As the structural reform continues to reshape China, the environmental industry will experience a robust boost and enter an M&A phase as investment floods in. This sector will need to further complete the industry chain, increase the cost-effectiveness and make vertical integration to address the profit-making pressure in a more mature market." said Zhao Lijun, head of China Environment Chamber of Commerce (CECC).

To meet demand for this enormous growth of the industry, more product categories will be displayed at IE expo China 2017. The 18th version will take place on May 4 - 6, 2017 at Hall W1-W5, E1-E4 Shanghai New International Expo Centre with a 100,000 m2 exhibition area and featuring around 1,500 exhibitors as well as 250 speakers, with a total rise of 20%. Apart from its four main exhibiting areas: water & sewage treatment, waste management and recycling, soil remediation, air pollution control and air purification. More further topics will also be added including sponge city technologies, street cleaning and maintenance, groundwater remediation and waste to energy. Besides, the number of exhibition halls will increase from 6 to 9 to accommodate more key players such as Veolia, SUEZ, Huber, KSB, VAG, Andritz, Heyl, E+H, Dow, EISENMANN, Durr, Heraeus, Zoomlion, BHS, ENSA, TITECH and ALLU. Apart from Italy, Germany, USA, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Switzerland, more countries and regions will set up pavilions this year, namely EU and Austria, to jointly advance technologies and expand business.

With the strong support of new partners: the ASEM Water Resources Research and Development Center, the China Resource Recycling Association, German RETech Partnership and the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office. IE expo Summit Forum will be upgraded to IE expo China Environmental Technology Conference 2017, to cover more pragmatic and interesting topics such as Policy Bonus and Market Opportunity under Ecological Civilization System Reform and How to Use Innovation to Boost Environmental Protection Enterprise Internationalization Development. Topics like urban storm water treatment, seawater desalination and membrane technology, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) control, etc. will be featured at sub-forums.
Apart from the 3rd edition of Innovation Pavilion and Exchange Symposium, IE expo China 2017 Matchmaking Meeting on International Environmental Technology will also be held to closely connect trade buyers with technology providers and boost effective communication.
