To kick off the event, Lee Kum Kee hosted a cocktail and welcome dinner on 17th April at Galaxy Macau. Chef Simon Tho, Assistant Vice President-Asia Culinary of Galaxy Macau and his team prepared uniquely designed, exquisitely presented canapes and entrees using various Lee Kum Kee's food service sauce products.  Also, a showcase of selected international Lee Kum Kee's products was on 3D display and a specially designed photo booth of the Lee Kum Kee Macau shop highlighted the organisation's long presence and historical legacy in the city.

A public culinary street festival will be held on 18th April. During the festival, over 200 specially crafted dishes will be showcased at the "International Celebrity Chefs 200 Charity Show", where 14 food and product booths will offer charity sales, including popular Lee Kum Kee sauces. It is followed by the Macau Cuisine Association's First Anniversary Celebratory Dinner in the evening, and the Macau International Celebrity Chefs Charity Night on 19th April to conclude the 3-day Global Culinary Showcase.

"We are thankful to Lee Kum Kee for their full support in uniting global culinary talents for a charitable cause," says Yip Siu Man, Chairman of the Macau Cuisine Association. "Their generous sponsorship has allowed us to give back to the community and celebrate our first anniversary."

This is the first time that this event is being held in Macau, a city that holds a special significance for Lee Kum Kee. In 1888, founder Mr. Lee Kum Sheng invented oyster source in Zhuhai and then moved his business to Macau in 1902. Since then, Lee Kum Kee's original Macanese roots have grown to regions around the world.

This year, the event aims to raise MOP 1.46 million for the Kiang Wu Hospital. Founded in 1871, the hospital is run by the Kiang Wu Charitable Association, and plays a significant role in treating the underprivileged in Macau. Over its three-year history, the culinary event has benefited various charities to the tune of US$300,000 worldwide.

"Lee Kum Kee is committed to community development where we operate," says Cheung. "Lee Kum Kee invented our flagship oyster sauce in Zhuhai, but Macau is where our business first thrived and prospered. With our participation in this event, we want to once again reinforce our core value of 'Benefitting the Community and Sharing of Fruits of Success'."
