(Nasdaq: PWRD) ("Perfect World" or the "Company"), a leading online game developer and operator in China, announced that it launched open beta testing for "Pocketpet Journey West" in North America today, under the name "Ether Saga Online," through its wholly owned U. S. subsidiary, Perfect World Entertainment Inc.
"Ether Saga Online" is a 3D MMORPG based on the Chinese literary classic Journey to the West. It has been localized to cater to North American game players. It features youthful anime graphics, as well as intuitive game play systems. As a pet-themed game, it allows players to start the game with their own pets. The players can capture and tame new pets as they adventure through the in-game world.
