NEW DELHI, July 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Kirloskar, India's leading multi-engineering conglomerate, has extended its partnership with CNN International Commercial by sponsoring the network's 'Going Green' initiative. The extension of the commercial partnership is part of Kirloskar's continued commitment towards a clean and green planet by providing green technology solutions.

'Going Green' is a week of coverage on CNN International about individuals who are making changes to their lives with bigger environmental goals in mind. These are people who are passionate about their causes, and believe that responsibility for the planet starts at home.

Hosted by electric transport enthusiast, Nicki Shields, 'Going Green' is produced by CNN International's original programming division CNN Vision. It will air on CNN International as separate segments and a standalone 30-minute special programme and has a dedicated microsite on CNN Digital platforms.

As well as combining the power of the CNN Vision team and digital platforms, the sponsorship campaign also uses CNN Audience Insight Measurement (AIM) to target Kirloskar's primary audiences of C-suite business decision makers and government functionaries in Africa and the Middle East.

Elaborating on the initiative, Sunita Rajan, Senior Vice President, Advertising Sales, Asia Pacific, CNN International Commercial, said "Going Green is an enduring proposition that we at CNN are truly proud of. We are delighted to reaffirm our long-standing relationship with Kirloskar through this international multi-platform campaign, built around compelling content and smart use of data. The campaign has been designed to reach the affluent CNN audience of business decision makers and policy makers by combining the scale of our TV network with the precision and targeting enabled by digital."

"For over a century, Kirloskar has always strived to create products that foster healthy living for a cleaner, greener planet. The focus has always been on creating engineering solutions that meet the needs of today's world in a sustainable manner and simultaneously drive a positive transformation across communities. CNN has been partnering us, in both thought and vision, and sponsoring Going Green is just an extension of that." says Madhav Chandrachud, President, Kirloskar Proprietary Limited.

Some of the environmentalists to be profiled on the show include Selina Juul, a food waste warrior from Copenhagen, Robert Bezau who set up Panama's first recycling system, Seychelles Turtle conservationist Vanessa Didon, Dan Danahar who has built a butterfly haven in Brighton, UK and a water conservationist and female plumber in Jordan.

CNN Going Green is sponsored by Kirloskar Proprietary Ltd.
