Today's rapid changes in the business environment, globalization, technological development and changes in the market structures as well as demographic trends are accelerating the development of the real estate industry. The general understanding of the workplace is gradually being transformed.

In the past, it was more beneficial for businesses to concentrate their manpower in an office building in order to save on the operation costs, promote better communication and for higher management efficiency.

Today, due to the rapid urbanization of the city, traffic conditions have worsened and there is an unequal allocation of public resources. The overcrowding of commercial districts have increased the cost of business and lowered the productivity of enterprises, which greatly hinders their development.

Through constant efforts by industry participants, a new business model was created to better meet the market's needs and to better match the demands of the market.

Dr Hujing mentioned that with the use of online smart office tools by Distrii meant to create an offline co-sharing space, it starts a revolution of new office spaces. The removal of the limitations of space, as well as the creation of a smart and efficient online and offline collaboration platform, will allow Distrii to provide businesses with more flexibility, mobility, productivity and convenience through the transformation of office building spaces to new co-sharing workspaces.

Chinese businesses have been exploring innovative solutions in offices, for both domestic and international markets. Leading companies such as Distrii, We+ and URWORK are strategically stepping into overseas markets to kickstart operations.

Distrii will be opening one of the largest co-sharing/co-working spaces in Singapore in the first half of 2018, which will introduce a platform which combines cutting edge smart technology with impressive offline workplace facilities, displaying the vitality of Chinese companies.

It is worth mentioning that compared to other industry participants, it took only 2 years for Distrii to experience rapid growth and expand overseas.

Dr Hujing concluded the speech with his belief that the development of a smart city will mean that the future workplace will have more flexibility, greater mobility, higher productivity, and increased convenience.
