Former Chilean President attends the Forth Optics Valley Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum to explore innovative model of connection

WUHAN, China, Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- China's most globally representative cross-border event came back again in the Optics Valley of China. The 4th Optics Valley Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum (CBEC 2017), supported by the Wuhan Municipal People's Government and the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province, steered by the East Lake High-tech Development Zone Administrative Committee, hosted by Winliner and Transn, opened at Hilton Wuhan Optics Valley .

The forum brought together a galaxy of high-ranking government officials and business magnates. The former Chilean President, the Intendant of the Bio-Bio Region, the Ambassador of Chile to China and Chilean enterprises made their debuts. Leaders of more than 100 Chinese cities and counties, as well as heads of more than 500 Chinese enterprises gathered in Wuhan. The forum also attracted e-commerce platforms in Brazil, Germany, India, the Middle East, the U.S., Chile, Malaysia and other countries, including world-renowned e-commerce platform Tradekey, India's renowned B2B platform Tradeindia, Chile's renowned B2B platform Yeatrade, South America's renowned B2B platform Juntoz.com, cross-border B2C giant eBay and China's representative B2B enterprise Focus.

Former Chilean President Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle was present. He elaborated on the friendship between China and Chile, as well as the current situation of China-Chile trade, expressing his wish to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperations through cross-border e-commerce. In Eduardo's word, Winliner signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Bio-Bio Region. The two sides will jointly construct Winliner-Bio-Bio Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park in Concepcion, capital of the Bio-Bio Region and extend its operations from Chile to Latin America, to build a cross-border e-commerce hub in Latin America.

Wei Jianguo, former Vice Minister of Commerce of China and Vice Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, offered advice to Chinese enterprises against the backdrop of global economy and trade. He held high-level talks with Rodrigo Diaz, Intendant of Governor of the Bio-Bio Region; Jorge Heine, Ambassador of Chile to China; Alejandro Buvinic, Director of Prochile and other Chilean guests in a lively way, and interacted with government leaders and business guests off the stage, to discuss and promote the economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Wuhan, Hubei and China, and Latin America.

The forum discussed many realistic and prospective topics, including the globalization of Chinese products, supply chain system building, the opportunities and challenges of cross-border B2B, the new trends and methods of cross-border e-commerce marketing. How cross-border e-commerce breaks through the old model to become a new model meeting most market needs with the leapfrog development of new technologies and trends like VR, big data and AI is worth more attention. The forum delivered a dialogue themed "What Imagination Can Sci-tech Upgrading Bring to Cross-Border E-Commerce", with the participation of founders of renowned B2C platforms, senior executives of AI enterprises and guests from innovative finance enterprises. Mobike's senior executives were also invited to the dialogue. Mobile IoT represented by Mobike will produce different sparks with cross-border e-commerce in the near future.

Winliner unveiled some important cooperation at the forum. First, it entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with the industrial leader -- Wuhan Software City Development Co., Ltd., to build Global Cross-border (China) Operation Base in Wuhan.
