Pacific Sheraton will reward both winners with well deserved vacations at Sheraton Resorts of their choice

SINGAPORE, April 16 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Sheraton Hotels & Resorts recently announced the end of the search for Asia Pacific's Top Workaholics and congratulated Rachel Zhang from China and Yen Ven Tee from Malaysia for garnering the most votes in the recent Sheraton Top Workaholics competition. Rachel and Yen Ven each earn an all expenses paid vacation to a Sheraton resort of their choice.

"We would like to thank all participants from Asia Pacific for the passion in their enthusiastic submissions and the public for their votes! We had over 30,000 votes for the various submissions, over a million page views, over 50,000 unique visitors and over 30,000 views a day -- the interest was strong and competition was really fierce!" commented Vincent Ong, Brand Director for Sheraton and Westin, Asia Pacific.

"Yen Ven and Rachel stood out among all participants because of their ability to convince the public how passionate they are to their work and their continuous quest for work and life balance," added Ong. Rachel won 30% of the total number of votes whilst Yen Ven won 20%.

"I must thank my friends and supporters for their votes during the period of the competition. This competition really caught my eye when I first got to know about it because it is such a creative and fun way to send out a strong message about work and life balance. This reward will really be a trip of a lifetime for me and I look forward to connecting with my friends and family on this trip!" commented Rachel Zhang.

"I am really thrilled to be the winner of this competition! My work takes up 90% of my time, and while I really enjoy what I do, this competition has given me a reason to reward myself and remind myself of balancing my work and social life," commented Yen Ven.

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts believes that its great hotels and resorts will inspire that experience for travelers to relish the opportunities that travel brings. Sheraton offers almost 20 resorts in exotic locations across Asia-Pacific and is the leading choice to plan that perfect getaway to reconnect with loved ones.

To join the contest, participants were simply required to submit a

write-up describing why they think they are one of Asia Pacific's top workaholics. This entry was then posted to a blog and made available for public viewing and voting. Participants may also supplement this initial submission with added blog entries, while encouraging family and friends, and of course, convincing the public to vote for their submission. Voters also stood a chance to win hotel stays from Sheraton Resorts.

The results for this campaign are fully driven by the number of votes received. The top two participants who garner the most number of votes on their published blog win for themselves and three other family members or friends the complimentary holiday, where they get to indulge and be pampered by Sheraton Resorts. Sheraton Resorts in Asia Pacific are located in China, Australia, Japan, Fiji, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Guam and the Maldives.
