China TransInfo Technology Corp. Announces Date of 2009 Annual Shareholder Meeting

BEIJING, May 5 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- China TransInfo Technology Corp., (Nasdaq: CTFO), ("China TransInfo" or the "Company"), a leading provider of public transportation information systems technology and comprehensive solutions in the People's Republic of China ("PRC"), today announced that it will hold its 2009 Annual Shareholder Meeting (the "Annual Meeting") at 9:00 am (Beijing Time), on May 29, 2009 at the Company's headquarters at Room 717, E-wing center, No. 113 Zhichunlu, Haidian District, Beijing, PRC 100086.

At the Annual Meeting the following proposals will be submitted for shareholders' approval:

1) electing seven directors to the Board of Directors of the Company;

2) ratifying the appointment of Simon & Edward, LLP as the Company's

independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year

ending December 31, 2009;

3) approving the Company's 2009 Equity Incentive Plan; and

4) transacting any other business that may properly come before the

Meeting

Shareholders of record as of May 1, 2009 will be entitled to notice and to vote at the Annual Meeting. A notice of meeting and proxy materials will be mailed to the shareholders in early May.
