Examples (involvement in events and competitions)

- The Chiba Prefectural Government is holding a hands-on event with the aim of promoting para-sports. At this event, university students in the prefecture launched a volunteer action committee not only to take part as volunteers but also to get involved in planning and operating.

- The prefectural government is holding training sessions on goalball and sitting volleyball for university students, who are seeking to become teachers, and university students and others, who are interested in disabled sports, where they can experience disabled sports with disabled athletes, providing venues for them to think about an inclusive society. Furthermore, the training sessions have been bearing fruit as the students who have taken the sessions are actively participating in operating other hands-on events as volunteers and the like.

Examples (involvement with volunteers)

The Women's Softball World Championship will be held at venues in four cities in August 2018. In addition, applications for volunteer work for the Tokyo 2020 Games will begin to be accepted from the upcoming summer. The Chiba Prefectural Government is running workshops for high school students and others in the prefecture on "omotenashi" Japanese-style hospitality, volunteer activities and so on in collaboration with nonprofit organizations as part of its efforts to heighten the momentum for participating in volunteer work. The prefectural government has considered each person's way of involvement in the 2020 Games. For example, apart from launching a special inspection team in the current fiscal year to examine the charms and barrier-free accessibility status of areas around Makuhari Messe which will serve as a venue for the 2020 Games, it hosted a forum for proposing ideas for omotenashi.
