The 11th InterPhoto & Digital Imaging Shanghai 2009 to Kick Off in July

Co-building an ideal platform for the photography and imaging industry

SHANGHAI, June 22 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The 11th InterPhoto & Digital Imaging Shanghai 2009, as one of the most professional imaging and photography exhibitions in China, is scheduled to take place in Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Centre from June 2 to 5, 2009.

The exhibition will cover a total area of 15,000 m2, and will feature the participation of approximately 200 domestic and overseas manufacturers from 12 countries and regions including China, US, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong SAR and China Taiwan. There will be famous industrial giants from both home and abroad, such as Canon, Kodak, HP, Sony, Mitsubishi, Jinbei and Jufude.

Exhibits will cover the entire range of the digital imaging industrial process, including imaging input equipment, imaging digital products, spare parts/accessories, imaging apparatus and consumables, imaging output equipment, etc. Exhibits consist of products and services such as cameras, camera lenses & filters, camera spare parts/accessories, photography equipment & accessories, image processing software/hardware, film & storage media, photographic workshop/studio facilities, image input & output equipment, film developing & photo printing instruments and systems, album & production equipment, optical products, related materials, semi-manufactured products, and consumables etc.

The Exhibition will be open to both professionals of the imaging/photography industry and amateurs, and is expected to attract a total of 50,000 domestic and overseas professional audiences of the imaging/photography industry. These may be individual and specialized users from across China, photography amateurs and enthusiasts from provincial photographer associations, insiders from areas of publicity, media, creative design, advertising, news and education, representatives from nationwide wedding photography companies, photography studios, film developing & photo printing shops, photography equipment malls and chain-retail distribution systems, as well as local sales agents, distributors, sellers, dealers and import & export traders. During the exhibition, stalls of Sony and Mitsubishi will provide free photography and printing services to audiences, and share the experience of technical innovation and super-fast printing output.

In 2009, China’s imaging market will retain its robust development trend, especially the market of digital imaging products, which has been showing a great potential of sustainable and rapid growth. China has now grown into the world’s biggest manufacturer of camera apparatus, with an annual production capacity of nearly 100 million units. Its market volume stands at over 10 million units, a quarter of the world’s overall volume. It is predicted that for the next five to ten years, traditional and digital imaging industries will co-exist in China with mutual reliability and support. There is still a long way to go.

Compared with the previous exhibitions, InterPhoto & Digital Imaging Shanghai 2009 is featured by the following highlights:

1. Unlimited business opportunities created by upcoming World Expo -- As the only professional exhibition in the imaging and photography industry on the eve of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, InterPhoto & Digital Imaging Shanghai 2009 promises to generate endless opportunities.

The World’s largest Portrait Photography Show China -- Shanghai International Wedding Photographic Equipment Exhibition (http://www.chinaweddingexpo.com.cn ) will be held at the same time and will bring an unanticipated number of visitors and on-site effect. The 15th China-Shanghai International Wedding Photographic Exhibition, ended in February 2009, was held in INTEX Shanghai, Shanghaimart, and Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Centre. With a total exhibition area of over 70,000 m2, it attracted some 500 wedding-dress and photographic exhibitors and a 120,000 person/time professional audience from 26 countries and regions.
