SHANGHAI, July 10 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Guangzhou International Travel Fair 2009 (GITF 2009) successfully rounded off this March. 60,000 visitors acclaimed the fantasy world with excitement. Exhibitors from 40 countries and regions wowed the audience with Egyptians whirling dance, Russian folk songs, Turkish cheese and Korean desserts. All the exotic showcase made visitors at GITF 2009 look forward to another wonderful event next year.

Three months after GITF 2009, the organizer has started intensive preparation for GITF 2010, trying to provide visitors and exhibitors with another tourism feast featuring professional organizing, excellent service and internationalized showcase style. GITF 2010 will run from 25 to 27 March at Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Centre. The first two days will be open to professional visitors and the third day to the public. Building on the success of this year's event, GITF 2010 is likely to attract more overseas exhibitors from Japan, Hungary, Brazil, Yemen, Brunei, Cambodia and the exhibiting companies from China Taiwan. A lineup of concurrent events will be held to provide an ideal platform for exhibitors and visitors to talk about business.

All-around Promotion Launched with Highlights on Must-attend Concurrent Events

Promotion for the concurrent events of GITF 2010 has started recently. Through rich government resources and powerful client network, the promotion will be directed at high-caliber professional buyers and visitors who have a strong intention to sign contracts. The events running in conjunction with GITF 2010 will include:

International Tourism Forum (Guangzhou) -- This is a high level event where experts and decision-makers from governments and leading companies communicate industrial information and share opinions of industrial trends. Building on its successful launch this year, the forum in 2010 will have a deeper insight into market hot topics and provide a sound platform for professionals to learn the latest information and seek the most promising investment opportunities. What's more, the worldwide tourist channels, industrial professionals, tourism organizations in the Asian Pacific region, government officials and representatives from leading companies in tourist industry will be invited to discuss the trend of tourism market.

Travel Elite Golf Invitational -- With the success of GITF 2009 Friendly Golf Match, the organizing committee will continue to hold GITF 2010 Travel Elite Golf Invitational which mainly targets at travel agency buyers and key exhibitors. It will provide a wonderful opportunity for them to learn from each other and discuss together the future trend of tourist industry.

GITF Club -- This is a new event launched by the organizing committee for travel agencies. Various activities are held in the club, which include tourism conference/forum, domestic and overseas business tours, club parties, golf and other outdoor recreational activities. It is expected to serve as a platform where professionals exchange ideas, enhance cooperation and in this way promote new development of GITF.

GITF Beer & Food Get-together -- The organizing committee is planning to hold a beer and food get-together at the fairground every night during GITF 2010. Exhibitors and visitors can enjoy beer, food and music for relaxation. Gifts offered by sponsors will be given out.

Buyers' Night -- As one of the most significant events of GITF, Buyers' Night provides an important platform for buyers and exhibitors to exchange ideas and establish business contacts.

GITF Awarding Ceremony -- The organizing committee will hold the annual Awarding Ceremony to encourage and give honor to exhibitors. Awards for the most popular foreign traveling route, the most popular domestic traveling route, the most popular tourist destination, the most popular hotel and the most popular airline company will be given out based on a combined evaluation from experts, visitors and online voting. The event will also join hands with GITF partner media to do on-site report.

Apart from these events, a program named "Match-making" which facilitates VIP buyer to quickly find the target group will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 on March 25th and from 15:00 to 16:00 on March 26th to provide a free-way talk for buyers and exhibitors at the fairground. Exhibitors can register for the program via online match-making system or by faxing the receipt. In addition, the organizing committee will market its VIP Buyer Campaign in a brand new way by selecting high-calibers from travel agencies, PR companies and business tour companies as VIP buyers who will be provided with none stop service throughout the fair. Buyers honored by the organizing committee will enjoy the priority to attend next edition's GITF as VIP buyer and will also have the opportunity to join the GITF Club.
