The First UFI-approved Dye Industry, Pigments, Printing and Dyeing Auxiliary Exhibition in China to Kick Off in April




SHANGHAI, China, April 9 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (SIEC) announces that the 7th China International Dye Industry, Pigments, Printing and Dyeing Auxiliary Exhibition ("China Interdye 2007"), the world's largest event for the industry, will kick off at INTEX Shanghai and Shanghaimart from April 17 to 19, 2007. China Interdye was granted the status of an official UFI-approved event by the UFI board of directors in March 2007, thus becoming the first UFI-approved professional exhibition for the Dye Industry, Pigments, Printing and Dyeing Auxiliary in China. There will be over 350 famous chemical enterprises from 15 countries and regions coming to the event, including around 10 Fortune 500 companies.

China Interdye 2007 is organized by the China Dyestuff Industry Association (CDIA), the China Dyeing and Printing Association, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Shanghai Sub-Council, the China Chamber of International Commerce, the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce and the Shanghai World Expo Co., Ltd. It is undertaken by the Shanghai International Exhibition Service Corporation.

In recent years, production and marketing for the Dye Industry, Pigments, Printing and Dyeing Auxiliary in China has shown healthy and rapid growth. China has become the largest dyestuff producer, trader and consumer. Alongside the domestic dying and printing industry, China Interdye has evolved, over the last 6 years, to be the world's largest professional exhibition. According to statistics, last event, which ended successfully in April 2006, the total production of the participating enterprises accounted for 90% of the world’s total. The 3-day exhibition attracted nearly 40,000 visitors from home and abroad, most being professionals for negotiation and purchasing. Of them, the foreign audience came from 45 different countries and regions.

China Interdye 2007 will cover an exhibition area of 18,000 square meters, including 6,000 square meters for overseas exhibitors to showcase all kinds of dyeing materials, intermediates, pigments, textiles, various dyeing auxiliaries and supporting production facilities. The event is attracting over 350 well-known domestic and overseas companies, with the former including DyStar, Basf, Huntsman, Lanxess, Clariant, Cognis, Novozymes, Dohmen, Yorkshire and the latter including Lonsen, Runtu, Yabang, Jihua, Chuyuan, Wande, Transfer, Dymatic, Forland, Meilida, Jingjin and Zhong Da Bright pressure filter machines. In addition, there are also national exhibition delegations including those from Korea, Japan and India. Some provinces and cities, such as Taiwan and Tianjin, are also organizing delegations for the exhibition.

It is worth noting that the exhibition has excited great enthusiasm from domestic and overseas dyeing auxiliary companies. Both the number of participating companies and the exhibition areas created a record high.

Another highlight is that authoritative industry associations will launch several different professional meetings during the exhibition as supporting activities, including: the China Dyeing and Printing Association, which will hold its meeting for directors as well as the 6th Four-New Technology Exchanges Meeting; the China Knitting Industry Association, which will hold the Technology Exchanges Meeting related to dyeing; and the China Yarn Dred Weaving Association, which will hold the Technology Exchanges Meeting related to yarn dred weaving. Moreover, the China Silk Association, the China Bast and Leaf Fibers Textile Association, the China Wool Textile Association, and the China Home Textile Association are all preparing to organize related meetings as well. China National Coatings Industry Association will hold a special meeting entitled "The Role of Pigments in the Rapid Growth of the Coating Industry." The China Daily Use Chemical Industry Association's printing ink branch will provide training and hold exchanges for related technologies. The Special Committee of Color Masterbatch under the CDIA is also preparing to organize a related meeting and has invited senior technical personnel from a number of famous overseas color masterbatch companies. The Special Committee of Organic Pigments under the CDIA will hold its annual industry meeting, technology exchanges and the like.
