Le Meridien Chongqing, Nan'an Appoints Timothy O'Driscoll as General Manager and Elaine Chin as Director of Sales and Marketing

Le Meridien Chongqing, Nan'an has appointed two key executives recently. Timothy O'Driscoll has been named General Manager and Elaine Chin has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the highly anticipated property. Scheduled to open this December, the 319-room luxury hotel is located in Nan'an district, a newly developed area in Chongqing city.

Tim has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He joined Starwood in 1989 at Sheraton Brisbane Hotel & Towers in Brisbane, Australia. Afterwards he went on to successfully serve various positions for Starwood properties; his career spans Australia, England, Nigeria, Indonesia and China. Prior to this appointment, Tim successfully opened a 707-room property in Shandong province. He currently serves as an executive member of the Chongqing Tourism Association and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Chengdu.

Elaine joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2003 and opened the first Starwood hotel in the South region -- Sheraton Dongguan Hotel -- as the Director of Catering and Conventions. She continued her career in The Westin Beijing Financial Street as Director of MICE in 2006, overseeing the MICE segment for international and domestic markets. After three years in Beijing, Elaine decided to take her career to the next level and moved to the up and coming city, known as the gateway to the West -- Chongqing city -- to open up her third hotel in China -- Le Meridien Chongqing, Nan'an.
