LOS GATOS, Calif., Nov. 21 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Monolithic Power
Systems (MPS) (Nasdaq: MPWR), a leading fabless manufacturer of high-
performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, announced today that the
United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has affirmed the
district court's grant of summary judgment that the accused MPS inverter
controllers do not infringe O2 Micro's '615 patent on technology for CCFL
inverter. In the decision, the appellate court held that O2 Micro
lacked "good cause" to deviate from the theory of infringement that O2 Micro
had disclosed during discovery, and that MPS was entitled to summary judgment
because no evidence supported that theory on which O2 Micro had relied.
