Brightstar's network of operators and retailers, coupled with its value-added distribution services, will help support RIM in increasing its channel reach and penetration in Singapore and Malaysia. The expanded Brightstar and RIM relationship offers a more streamlined supply chain process focused on increasing the delivery of BlackBerry(R) smartphones, enterprise software and accessories to customers. BlackBerry smartphones supported by Brightstar in Singapore and Malaysia include the BlackBerry(R) Bold(TM) 9700, BlackBerry(R) Storm(TM) 9520 and BlackBerry(R) Curve(TM) 8520.
For more than five years, RIM and Brightstar have enjoyed a strong and growing global relationship, and with today's announcement have expanded their collaboration to 60 countries and regions. In addition to support in the Asia Pacific region, Brightstar currently distributes BlackBerry products to network operators, retailers and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) in the United States, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
