Shanda Licenses Olympic-Themed Table Tennis Game from Actoz

SHANGHAI, China, June 13 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited (Nasdaq: SNDA), or Shanda, a leading interactive entertainment media company in China, announced today that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with South Korean online game developer Actoz Soft Co., Ltd. (Kosdaq: 052790), or Actoz, for the exclusive license to operate X-Up, a 3D online sports-themed table tennis game, in mainland China. The game is expected to enter open-beta testing in China in the fourth quarter of 2007.

X-Up is a competitive, action-packed online 3D table tennis game featuring uniquely detailed characters, authentic apparel and equipment, distinct styles of play, and lifelike player animation. The game's animation engine realistically reproduces the real-life movements of world-class table tennis champions recorded using advanced motion capture technology. X-Up features intuitive gameplay and a variety of gameplay modes, including singles and doubles matches as well as four-on-four real-time team competition. X-Up also features a number of unique options, including personal coaches that provide users with skill tips to improve player performance as well as cheerleading squads that enhance the game's competitive atmosphere.
