GSMA Targets Apple iOS Developers with New Macworld Mobile Developer Conference

    LONDON, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The GSMA today announced that Li Yue, newly appointed president and CEO of China Mobile, will join CEOs and leaders from companies including Bharti Airtel, CSL, HTC, KDDI, KT, Qtel and Telenor in the keynote programme at the 2010 GSMA Mobile Asia Congress, which will be held 17-18 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The company also announced that it will host Macworld Mobile, a developer event solely focused on the Apple iPhone and iPad platforms, at App Planet at Mobile Asia Congress.

Designed to bring together the many critical elements of the broad mobile application ecosystem together in one location, App Planet at Mobile Asia Congress will feature the App Zone Exhibition, App Developer Conferences (ADCs), App Planet Forum and the App Networking Lounge. 

    Today the GSMA announced a new addition to App Planet, introducing Macworld Mobile at Mobile Asia Congress. In partnership with IDG World Expo, organisers of Macworld, the world's premiere event focused exclusively on the Apple products platform, the GSMA will host Macworld Mobile, a developer event specifically for the Apple iPhone and iPad platforms. The Macworld Mobile iOS Developer Conference will provide full-day, in-depth training on this critical platform, with technical sessions, targeting tools and applications specifically designed for mobile application developers and engineers. 

    The GSMA also outlined further details on App Planet Forum, a dedicated, day-long track of thought-provoking presentations and panel sessions on industry trends in mobile applications. Sha Yuejia, Executive Director and Vice President of China Mobile, will be the opening keynote for App Planet Forum, which will take place on Tuesday, 16th November.  Sessions in the App Planet Forum will include "Making a Community", "The Economics of the App Marketplace", "Good Practices for App Development", and "Delivering on the Promise".
