SHANGHAI, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Currently, the world's largest academic organization focusing on dental implants, the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists), is holding a training course on dental implantation, first at Shenzhen's Reborn Dental Implant Center and subsequently at Hong Kong's Nobel Biocare Asia-Pacific Center. The sharing of training resources between Shenzhen and Hong Kong will provide participants with access to a world class, international training course in dental implants.

Dr. Xu Qinglong, the lecturer of this training course, noted that cooperation and exchange between Shenzhen and Hong Kong has played a very active role in promoting Shenzhen's vigorous development over the past thirty years. The open hearts and spirit of dedication to progress that the people of Shenzhen are known for have helped to make the city among the fastest developing of China's five Special Economic Zones. Dr. Xu Qinglong is also a beneficiary of the cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, having previously received training in dental implants at Hong Kong's Nobel Biocare Asia-Pacific Center. Dr. Xu regularly participates in academic exchange with many well-known doctors in Hong Kong specializing in dental implants, and returns to Nobel Biocare Asia-Pacific Center this time as a lecturer. During the training course, Dr. Xu Qinglong has arranged for participants to visit the Hong Kong Dental Implant & Maxillofacial Centre, one of the most well-known dental implant organizations in Hong Kong, which will enable them to become acquainted with other professionals in the field, widen their worldviews and improve themselves.

Dr. Xu Qinglong believes that dentists should recognize the importance of the accumulation of clinical experience, and even more importantly, should actively engage with colleagues in the field, in order to uphold the spirit of continued advancement and dedication to technological innovation. In recent years, while mainland Chinese have actively sought to learn from Hong Kong, Hong Kong has begun to pay more and more attention to mainland China's development. Graduates from the University of Hong Kong's Faculty of Dentistry have visited the Reborn Dental Implant Center twice to engage in dialogues of exchange concerning their experiences in dental implants. These days, more and more Hong Kong dentists are participating in exhibitions and academic forums on dentistry put on by mainland Chinese organizations. All of these developments serve to promote the quickly-growing cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong in the field of medicine.
