Company to build NG-BOSS system for Beijing Mobile

BEIJING and SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- AsiaInfo-Linkage, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASIA) ("AsiaInfo-Linkage" or the "Company"), a leading provider of communications software solutions, IT security products and related services, today announced that it has won a tender to deliver the Next Generation (NG) BOSS 3.0 system, for Beijing Mobile, a subsidiary of China Mobile, the largest telecommunications operator in the world.

"Beijing Mobile's NG-BOSS 3.0 system is a prime example of the operators' continuous need for cutting edge IT solutions that transform the relationship with customers and expand service capabilities to retain and acquire new customers," said AsiaInfo-Linkage's President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Zhang. "The telecom operators are keen to provide direct and value added services to their customers by investing in improving the customer experience, data analytics and their sales and marketing systems to better serve this goal. This new market win demonstrates our competitive advantage of creating industry leading and best of class IT solutions for innovative telecom operators. It also speaks to our ability of identifying and capturing new market share opportunities against our domestic and international competitors."

In June of 2009, AsiaInfo-Linkage won a tender to build a new billing system for Beijing Mobile to support part of its pre-paid business. The delivered solution - NG-BOSS 3.0 system, being fully convergent, enables the processing of the post-paid transactions on the current pre-paid implementation. The integrated solution will be used to replace the existing post-paid and pre-paid billing system and enable Beijing Mobile's desire for more comprehensive customer tailored and bundled services and TD-SCDMA functionality and will allow the operator to better serve its customers.

For the past two years, AsiaInfo-Linkage has worked on China Mobile's NG-BOSS Phase-I rollout, or version 1.0, before signing contracts to upgrade NG-BOSS systems to version 2.0, which primarily happened earlier this year in response to the carriers' goal of becoming a fully integrated service provider with bundled fixed-line, broadband and mobile businesses. The Company is currently in the process of signing contracts to upgrade NG-BOSS systems to version 3.0.

AsiaInfo-Linkage currently provides NG-BOSS systems for 18 of 31 China Mobile subsidiaries.
