SHENZHEN, China, Dec. 13, 2010 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Huntkey Enterprise Group announces that its EMC laboratory received accreditation certified by the FCC recently; receiving the successive laurel after winning accreditation certified by NEMKO, with authorizations, which represented the Huntkey EMC laboratory's possession of the required test equipment and technical capabilities to fulfill assignments in specific fields. Applications for product certifications can be made internally and will be accepted by most countries in the world. Testing reports issued by EMC laboratory have the same status as the FCC, accelerating the public listing of Huntkey products and allowing Huntkey power supplies a more convenient entrance into the U.S. market.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent agency of the United States government, directly responsible to Congress and with the majority of its commissioners appointed by the current president. The FCC was established by the Communications Act of 1934 with law enforcement supervision which is charged with regulating all non-federal government use of the radio spectrum (including radio and television broadcasting), and all interstate telecommunications (wire, satellite and cable) as well as all international communications that originate or terminate in the United States. All electronic products related need EMC certification when going through customs in the U.S. (excluding some products with special provisions).

EMC is short for Electromagnetic Compatibility. EMC is the term used to describe how well a device or system is able to function in an electromagnetic environment without introducing electromagnetic disturbances that interfere with the operation of other electrical products in the environment. Electronic devices that can function and meet the criteria are called electro-magnetically compatible devices. Since electronic system noise reduction technology appeared in the mid 1970s, the current American FCC and EU CE came into being mainly because the Federal Communications Commission and EU established related standards for commercial digital products in 1990 and 1992 respectively, which required companies to ensure their products comply with susceptibility and emission standards. The 3C accreditation in China on EMC is also imperative.
