SHANGHAI, Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Avery Dennison has earned a coveted spot on Staffers magazine's "Top 50 Best Employers" list for the second consecutive year. The 2010 award reaffirms the company's status as an employer of choice among China's most promising young professionals. Recognizing companies that offer a positive team-focused work environment and caring employee culture, the ranking enables talented individuals to identify industry leaders offering exceptional career opportunities.

"We are honored to receive this award for the second consecutive year," said Dean A. Scarborough, chairman, president and CEO of Avery Dennison. "The hiring and development of talented people who will drive our business forward is among our top priorities. Our aim is to constantly inspire, challenge, and reward leaders and enable them to do the same for their teams."

The only workplace-focused magazine in China, Staffers has built a loyal readership of well-educated young professionals since its first appearance in 2006 and now has a monthly circulation of 118,000. Staffers is published by China Business Journal, which also numbers the influential Business Management Review for senior executives in local enterprises and multinational companies among its titles.

Staffers has ranked China's "Top 50 Best Employers" every year since 2007. In addition to online votes from young professionals, criteria used include employee surveys and internal panel assessments. Some 80 of the 150 companies who entered 2010's "Top 50 Best Employers" contest were subsequently shortlisted by the judging panel based on factors such as responsibility, fairness, achievement and relations. This year's 50 finalists ultimately scored well in multiple areas such as online voting and employee surveys. Avery Dennison divisions which participated in 2010's employee survey included Roll Materials and Retail Branding and Information Solutions.
