Canadian Solar to Host Major Ontario Job Fair Friday, February 11th

- New Facility Expected to Create Approximately 500 Jobs -

GUELPH, Ontario, Feb. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Canadian Solar Inc. (Nasdaq: CSIQ), one of the world's largest solar power companies, today announced it will host a major Job Fair this Friday, February 11, 2011 at its new solar module manufacturing facility located at 545 Speedvale Avenue, West in Guelph, Ontario. Openings include process technicians, general operators, logistic coordinators and quality engineers, among others. Potential candidates can meet with Canadian Solar's Human Resource specialists from 9 am to 5 pm.

We have a long-term commitment to this important market, and have previously announced our selection of Guelph, Ontario as the site of a 200 megawatt solar PV module plant. This facility will be Canadian Solar's first feed-in-tariff domestic content compliant solar manufacturing plant in Ontario, and is expected to require approximately 500 people to run at full capacity."

Several dignitaries will also be on hand at the job fair to greet job seekers and to make a special presentation from 10 am to 10:45 am. Special guests include Guelph MP, Frank Valeriotte; Guelph MPP, Liz Sandals and Guelph Mayor, Karen Farbridge.
