MACAU, April 19, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Ignite Media Group is partnering with Tencent Inc. to promote the iWeibo open networking system. This partnership promises to broaden Tencent's microblog user base and extend the reach of Ignite Media's internet properties.
The synergistic relationship will enhance Ignite Media's online presence at the same time it grows the base of Tencent's popular internet portal social networking system throughout Macau, Hong Kong and Guangdong. In addition, Ignite Media Group's outdoor advertising and print publications will cross-promote the iWeibo system.
The key to the agreement is iWeibo's adaptability as a social network vehicle. The flexible system will facilitate creation of local weibo connections for Ignite Media's stable of industry-leading web properties. These include the Qoos.com community portal, macau.com and youyazhou travel platforms, aomen.tv entertainment video portal and macauHR job portal, and the Vproperty.com property site - all of which will be introduced to potential new online clients through weibo.
The commercial relationship will raise the online profile of Ignite Media Group companies across China, including among mainland travelers and businesspeople with interests in the Pearl River Delta, a key gateway for travel to Hong Kong and Macau.
