Capability to Transfer Funds With Other Subscribers on the Same Network
JAKARTA, Indonesia and TORONTO, Dec. 6 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Redknee
Inc., a leading provider of innovative infrastructure software that monetizes
and personalizes services and content for mobile users, today announced
Bakrie Telecom has selected the Redknee mCommerce Gateway to allow real-time,
peer-to-peer fund transfers. The solution will allow any Bakrie Telecom
prepaid subscriber to transfer monetary value to another Bakrie Telecom
subscriber through a familiar, easy-to-use Short Message Service (SMS)
interface.
"At Bakrie Telecom we are constantly searching for innovative ways to
meet subscriber needs and encourage subscriber interaction and service
usage," said AG Rao, CTO at Bakrie Telecom. "Redknee continues to be a
strategic technology partner for Bakrie Telecom because of their innovative
monetization and personalization solutions."
With Redknee’s mCommerce Gateway (MCG), subscribers can send a text
message to an operator-determined short code including a recipient customer
number and an amount. The solution provides subscribers with the flexibility
to transfer any monetary amount to another Bakrie subscriber. Redknee
validates in real-time that sufficient funds are available in the account,
eliminating potential revenue leakage for the operator and providing
subscribers with immediately-verifiable transactions.
"Redknee solutions help operators deliver leading edge innovations that
are convenient, easy-to-use, and that address subscriber needs based on their
existing relationships with other subscribers," said Lucas Skoczkowski, CEO
Redknee. "Redknee’s mCommerce Gateway exemplifies how we can assist
operators such as Bakrie Telecom to create value-added, peer-to-peer services
that differentiate them in their marketplace."
Redknee’s mCommerce Gateway has the flexibility to facilitate direct
fund transfers based on any relationship type such as peer-to-peer, family-to-
family, social or special interest group members. MCG also allows operators
to set minimum and maximum transfer thresholds in a predefined timeframe such
as per day. Its settings are configurable for valid transfers based on
subscriber service grade.
