CHANGZHOU, China, Dec. 7 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Changzhou National Hi-
Tech District (CND) and Samara Province, Russia, have cemented their
commitment to the construction of an innovation park, based on which
intensive interaction and cooperation will be conducted in areas including
environmental protection, laser and bio technologies, pharmaceutical research
and production, through their alliance on its joint construction project.
In this, the Year of Russia, the comprehensive industrial strengths of
Samara can highlighted by 45 R&D institutions, 430 larges-sized enterprises
and over 500,000 workers, with the automotive industry, mechanics and
machinery in the leading positions.
The first contact between CND and Samara officials was signed at the
Seminar on Sino-Russia International Technology Transfer and Cooperation held
in June 2006. The readiness of Samara’s transferable scientific and
technical results matches well with CND enterprises, including battery bike
companies. Both sides further agreed on the formation of a structure for the
promotion of mutual technical transfers, talent exchanges, trade and
consultancy services through the establishment of the Science & Technology
Innovation Park and Incubators. It is the common objective for both sides to
build up a strong science and technology park.
Favorable conditions, to a maximum possible extent, are expected to be
provided for building up of an international level Changzhou Sino-Russia
Science & Technology Innovation Park. The research institutes and talents
from Samara will work in their branches in Changzhou to facilitate
industrialization of high-tech research results, upgrade existing industrial
structures and to promote science & technological development. At the same
time, the enterprises in Changzhou will be encouraged to launch joint
projects in Samara and extend trade and services for the realization of this
win-win cooperation.
