SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 5 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STP), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules, today announced that it will host the 2007 Chinese PV Industry International Competitiveness Forum on behalf of the China Renewable Energy Association on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China.
The Forum will bring together a diverse group of Chinese and international solar professionals to discuss Chinese PV companies’ participation in the international solar industry and proactive measures to improve quality, reduce cost and accelerate efforts to reach grid parity. Suntech Chairman and CEO Dr. Zhengrong Shi will provide the introductory keynote address. Additional presenters will include solar industry professionals Craig Cornelius of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Program, Dr. John Pern of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Dr. Jeffrey S. Nelson of Sandia National Laboratories, Jonathan Fink of Arizona State University, and Liang Ji of Underwriters Laboratories Inc among others.
