Travel 2.0 Continues to Take Off in China

BEIJING, Jan. 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Qunar.com, China’s largest travel search engine with 15 million monthly unique visitors, and Tianya.cn, China’s largest community and social networking site with over 20 million registered members, announced today that the two companies will jointly hold "The Qunar Cup -- My Ultimate Travel Experience".

Capitalizing on the boom in community media in China, Chinese bloggers have been asked to write about their ultimate travel experiences and post them on Tianya.cn. All blog submissions will be automatically judged by a panel of 10 travel-industry journalists and editors according to the blog’s uniqueness, creativity and humor. The best bloggers will receive awards at the annual "The Qunar Cup" awards ceremony. To date, the contest has generated over 35 million page views from millions of Chinese internet users.
