-- Several horizontal trends have emerged to shape the development of M2M in Europe - Web briefing with the analyst on 5th February

LONDON, Jan. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The key trends to watch for in the M2M market for 2014 will be the subject of a Frost & Sullivan online conference which will take place on 5th February, at 3:00pm GMT (4:00pm CET/10:00am EST/9:00am CST).

In 2013, the cellular M2M market in Europe moved beyond the introductory phase of its life cycle. Many elements of the M2M ecosystem have achieved some level of standardization and customer requirements are also much better defined. Frost & Sullivan therefore anticipates accelerated efforts to climb up the M2M architecture into developing new applications for new services deployment.

Frost & Sullivan Industry Manager, ICT, Yiru Zhong, will identify and discuss the trends that will have a meaningful impact on the M2M market. The briefing will also illustrate the technologies and use cases expected to take centre stage in 2014.

"We see the maturing of M2M deployments in Europe now graduate to new use cases where analytics play a substantial part," explains Ms Zhong. "For example, the traditional use of track and trace in the logistics sector will be increasingly integrated with enterprise systems to enable performance analysis and automated reporting. We also predict continued growth in M2M in the energy industry, healthcare and industrial automation."
