HKICS Releases Guidelines on Practices of Inside Information Disclosure of A+H Companies

HONG KONG, Feb. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS) releases the Guidelines on Practices of Inside Information Disclosure of A+H Companies (Guidelines) to provide practical guidance to companies incorporated in the People's Republic of China which are listed on both the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEx) and the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) or Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) (A+H Companies) on compliance with inside information disclosure regimes across Hong Kong and Mainland China.

On the anniversary of the coming into force of SFC's inside information disclosure regime, HKICS, through the collective efforts of industry professionals and China board secretaries affiliated with it, publishes practical guidance for dually listed A+H Companies to devise compliance relating to the disclosure regimes of both Hong Kong and Mainland China.

'We wanted to provide practical guidance to dually listed A+H Companies to assist them to deal with the complex issue of cross border information disclosures,' said Ms Edith Shih FCIS FCS(PE), HKICS President.

The Guidelines, an accumulation of two years efforts in the making, is led by Dr Gao Wei FCIS FCS, HKICS Council Member and Vice Chairman of Professional Development Committee with the participation of many industry experts. It contains a detailed explanation of the cross border information disclosure regimes and covers the subtle differences and practical issues relating to appropriate compliance on the complex topic.
