Cachet Hotel Group Appoints Senior Management Positions in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, April 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cachet Hotel Group (CHG), owner and operator of JIA hotel Shanghai has rebranded the property Cachet Boutique and appointed a new hotel management team.

"Furthermore, these appointments reflect our commitment to leading social change in the hospitality industry by promoting highly qualified women and local talent to senior management positions at our properties around the world."

Candice Huang has been named the new General Manager of Cachet's new luxury boutique hotel in Shanghai. Huang comes to Cachet after fifteen years of experience in the luxury and fashion sectors. After receiving her Master's degree from Griffith University in Australia, Huang spent several years working as a model for luxury brands such as Tiffany, Marie Claire, and Moschino. Subsequently, she spent fifteen years working as Director of Marketing, PR, Branding and Event Management projects for brands such as Dolce Gabbana, Dior and Fendi.

Brandon Li has also been appointed Hotel Operations Manager at Cachet Boutique Shanghai. Li joins Cachet from Starwood Hotels and Resorts where he progressed through the ranks of its 5 star hotels and was recognized as a high potential operations executive in China. Most recently, Li served as Director of Rooms and successfully opened the first Westin Resort in Mainland China - the Westin Sanya Haitang Bay Resort.

Judy Liu joins Cachet Boutique as its new Director of Sales and Marketing. Liu brings over fifteen years of experience in regional and property level hotel marketing operations in Greater China, with IHG and Accor hotel group. She was educated at STV University in China and is fluent in Chinese, Japanese and English.

Fergus MacDougall has been named Entertainment and VIP Services Manager for Cachet Boutique. Fergus brings over twenty years of hospitality experience including managing hotel properties for Accor, Morgans of Sydney and URBN Hotel Shanghai.

Completing the senior team, Echo Liu has been appointed the Financial Controller of Cachet Boutique. Liu spent the past six years at the property as an integral leader in finance and oversaw the transition of hotel ownership to CHG.

Over the ensuing months, this team's main goal is to oversee the renovation of the Cachet Boutique property of 931 Nanjing Road, including the construction of the new flagship Adidas store, new restaurants on the property and for the hotel, the renovation of the third floor - which will be transformed into a social mecca for entertainment and nightlife. The transformation of the property is expected to complete in September 2014.
