BEIJING, China, April 10 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- VisionChina Media Inc. (Nasdaq: VISN), one of China’s largest out-of-home digital television advertising networks on mass transportation systems, today announced the signing of an exclusive agency agreement with Liaoning Beidou Xingkong Digital TV Media Co., Ltd.(Beidou Media), expanding VisionChina’s network to include the city of Shenyang.

The agreement gives VisionChina Media the exclusive right to advertising operations on Beidou Meida’s Liaoning Mobile TV Channel in the city of Shenyang, the capital city of Liaoning province in northeastern China, for 3 years beginning April 1, 2008. The Liaoning Mobile TV Channel is the exclusive provider of digital mobile TV and mobile TV advertising for the province of Liaoning. With this agreement, VisionChina expands their network to cover 16 of China’s major cities.

“The addition of Shenyang to our network brings us a highly attractive and developing market, and bolsters our coverage of China’s northeastern cities,” said Mr. Haijun Liu, VisionChina Media’s chief development officer. “Shenyang has a metropolitan population of 7.03 million people and the city ranks 16th among Chinese cities in terms of GDP. A city of this scale significantly increases the number of viewers watching the VisionChina network screens each day.”

Mr. Limin Li, VisionChina Media’s chairman and chief executive officer added, “I am very pleased to report we’ve expanded into the Shenyang market. Our development team has continued to successfully execute our expansion goals and we plan to cover 20 cities by the end of 2008. Shenyang is a leading city in northeastern China’s economic growth, making it an attractive target for our current network of advertisers and a cost effective alternative for advertisers paying for minutes on traditional indoor television in Shenyang.”

This is the second major network expansion by VisionChina Media since the company’s IPO in December of 2007. It follows the company’s move into Taiyuan in Shanxi province in February 2008.
