High-quality seating products were recognized by Nissan for the second time

SHANGHAI, Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Guangzhou Dongfeng Johnson Controls Automotive Seating Co., Ltd (DFJC) recently received a China Regional Quality Award (NQA) from Nissan for its outstanding quality performance in 2012. This is the second time that DFJC has won the honor since 2008.

"Customer satisfaction is one of Johnson Controls' core values," said Johannes Roters, group vice president and general manager China, Johnson Controls Automotive Experience. "We share the best business practices in all manufacturing plants, and standardize processes across all facilities, to make sure our customers enjoy the same quality products and services around the world."

"We were repeatedly recognized as a reliable business partner by our customers," added Roters. "This second NQA honor proves our persistence in outstanding quality performance and our strong support to our customers."

Established in January 2005, DFJC is one of many joint ventures in which Johnson Controls Automotive Experience has invested in China, supplying major automakers in the country with automotive seating and components.

With excellent and stable quality performance over the years, DFJC has become Dongfeng Nissan's preferred supplier of seating products. In 2012, DFJC delivered 250,000 automotive seats to Dongfeng Nissan, which have been used in the TIIDA, Sylphy and X-trail, occupying 30% of the total seating volume of Nissan passenger vehicles.

This award further strengthens the partnership between DFJC and Dongfeng Nissan, paving the way for closer cooperation in the future.

The award is the highest honor Nissan awards its best suppliers. Every year, Nissan selects those suppliers who have higher ranking in the Supplier Score Card (SSC) as candidates, and evaluates many dimensions, such as "accomplishment," "component complexity" and "procurement value." In China, only three companies stood out among Nissan's more than 300 component suppliers, and were awarded a 2013 China Regional Quality Award. The suppliers delivered the best quality, products and services in the past 12 months.
