Limited Edition Book Featuring The Ultimate Collection of Patek Philippe Vintage Watches Launched in Singapore

The limited edition book features over 120 Patek Philippe vintage watches, spanning a period from 1858 to 1995. Starting with early pocket watches and ending with complicated wrist watches, the book presents rare and detailed information on each reference and explores the provenance of the watches themselves.

The Patek Philippe – My Dream Collection is authored by Ali Nael, who is seen as an authority and industry expert in rare vintage Patek Philippe watches, in collaboration with Eric Tortella, who played a crucial role in the literature side of the book and brings over 50 years of experience in the documenting and studying of Patek Philippe watches.

The Patek Philippe Ref. 130J T “Three-tone” Sector Pulsations

Only around 1500 Patek Philippe reference 130s were made in total, from which close to 850 were in yellow gold, from those, just a little more than 100 were fitted with a sector dial. Only half of these were identified from the market or to have survived, making the Ref. 130J T “Three-tone” Sector Pulsations with original paperwork extremely rare.

The Patek Philippe Ref. 605J HU DE “Ancient Continents”

The Patek Philippe reference 605 Enamel World Time presented in the book is extremely rare, being the only example known in yellow gold with an Ancient continents map. In total only 20 Ref. 605 HU DE yellow and eight pink gold were made. From those, only seven yellow and five pink gold pieces were identified back into the market.

The Patek Philippe Ref. 1502J “Telephone Dial”

The reference 1502 was launched in 1941 and produced only once in a batch of twelve pieces in yellow gold, 18k or 14k. This typical “War” sober and elegant watch bears the calibre 12120, 18 jewels, 18,000 oscillations. This is today the only reference 1502 in 18k gold identified to have survived.
