Serge Raffard
Head of Strategy & Business Development, Asia
MetLife<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Serge Raffard joined MetLife in September 2013 and is the Head of Strategy and Business Development, Asia.  In this role, he leads the execution of MetLife's strategic plans across the Asia region to maximize business growth and profitability.  In addition, Raffard oversees MetLife's mergers and acquisitions team in Asia to identify potential business expansion opportunities in the region and execute the transactions.  Raffard is based in Hong Kong.<\/p>\r\n

Prior to joining MetLife, Raffard was a Partner with McKinsey & Company based in Hong Kong, where he advised Senior Executives of numerous domestic and multinational institutions across the region.  He has deep Asia experience having worked in mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, India, Singapore, and Southeast Asia.  Raffard also led the development of McKinsey's Asia Insurance Practice, their fastest growing practice in Asia, and has worked extensively on developing corporate, M&A, and growth strategies for a broad range of insurers (Life, Non-Life, Health, Commercial and Retail).  Prior to McKinsey, he worked on American and European M&A transactions and IPOs for JP Morgan based out of the United Kingdom.<\/p>\r\n

Raffard holds a MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management, a MSc with scholarship from the London School of Economics, a Diploma with honor from Imperial College in London and a MSc with honor in Mechanical Engineering from ENSAM in Paris.<\/p>\r\n

Dustin Ball
Country Manager
Vietnam<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Dustin Ball was appointed as the Country Manager for Vietnam in October 2013 following the signing of an agreement with the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) to form a life insurance joint venture in Vietnam.  Dustin is responsible for setting up the new business and leading the development of the Vietnamese market for MetLife.<\/p>\r\n

Before taking up this role, Dustin was the Head of Strategic Development in Asia since joining MetLife in 2010.  Based in Hong Kong, he was responsible for the mergers and acquisitions in the region, as well as developing and executing new market entry strategies. Dustin led the formation of the joint venture with Bank for Investment & Development of Vietnam (BIDV).<\/p>\r\n

Dustin joined MetLife from Sun Life Financial, where he was Vice President of Strategic Initiatives in Asia, and responsible for strategy and mergers and acquisitions for the region.  Prior to Sun Life, he held several senior strategy and M&A roles over seven years at American International Group (AIG) in New York, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.<\/p>\r\n

Earlier in his career Dustin worked in the specialty chemicals industry where he held positions in business strategy, business process reengineering, and engineering at Exxon Chemical Company and Castrol North America.<\/p>\r\n

Dustin holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.<\/p>\r\n
