About Hershey China Efforts

With an unprecedented growth pace in the region, The Hershey Company and its employees are working at full speed to bring the best products to the market. At the same time, the Hershey team has not forgotten their mission and commitment to the countries where they operate. In China, Hershey provides aid to surgery and convalescence for cleft-lip children in cooperation with the non-profit orphanage "Shanghai Philanthropic Dream". Following the endowment and the donation of children's goods such as milk powder and napkins, the Hershey Company actively involves staff volunteers in the Week of Giving out Love entitled "Good to Give Back". The staff is encouraged to participate in the programs, looking after the cleft-lip children, reading and playing games with them, in order to help them get rid of the sense of inferiority and to bring them joy and a longing for a bright future. Furthermore, partnering with United Way Worldwide, Hershey China initiated the "Happy Time After School Program" to extend caring to children from migrant worker families.
