Gao Xiaolin, General Manager of Graceful Arts Industrial, a leader in the home decorations industry, noted that the brand has emphasized creating its own style of home decorations since it was founded in 1990.

"In the early days, most companies relied mainly on manufacturing, but more clients have started to appreciate and recognize our strength in design over the past two years," said Gao, "The Canton Fair offers a great opportunity for us to connect with clients while gaining useful information for our future designs."

Victor Zhou, CEO of Eagle Gifts, a leading holiday gift manufacturer, explained that the company is now capable of providing one-stop complete solutions worldwide, a highlight of which is customized design proposals.

"There are many companies in Europe, like England, that are using our design plans, including top British retailers. They have very specific requirements for holiday gift products and we can accommodate their needs from the beginning to the final stage of sales," Zhou said.

According the Zhejiang Trading Delegation, 90 percent of the companies that produce household supplies, kitchenware and tableware products are predicting that they will see steady or increased export growth. Even though problems like increased costs, exchange rate fluctuations and increased competition are still faced by the exporters, more and more companies are starting to emphasize their products' value-added components, and that they are not just providing products for clients, but also data, information and personalized management.

"We think that ideas are the soul of products," said Maggie Pu, Deputy Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Canton Fair. "Canton Fair offers a platform for everyone to share inspirations, allowing worldwide merchants and buyers to exchange with suppliers at minimal time and economic cost while staying on top of the latest trends. We are also very open to suppliers and sincerely hope that more exhibitors and buyers can catch up with old friends and meet new friends at Canton Fair every year."
