Organised by Master Insight Media, the Master Insight Forum is an annual convention at which movers and shakers from political, financial and business communities join with experts and academics to discuss topical issues.

In addition to Chief Executive Carrie Lam, other influential speakers this year included Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po, Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Patrick Nip Tak-kuen, Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, Non-official Convenor of the Executive Council Bernard Charnwut Chan, Tencent core founder Charles Chen Yidan, Chairman of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong Dr Jonathan Choi, East Asian Institute of National University of Singapore Director Professor Zheng Yong-Nian, President of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Professor Tony F Chan, Distinguished Practitioner of the Centre for East Asian Studies of Stanford University Professor Ming Chan and Convenor of Hong Kong Vision Research Programme Jasper Tsang Yok-sing. They covered a range of topics that touched on political development in China, new opportunities in the Greater Bay Area and new educational horizons, as well as challenges to economic growth.

FTLife Chairman Fang Lin said: "FTLife is honoured to take on Golden Diamond sponsorship of the Master Insight Forum, which represents a valuable platform for leaders from different fields to provide insights into economic development and business opportunities. China will step up efforts to drive economic growth and transformation, while bringing about various improvements. Both the 'Belt and Road' and 'Greater Bay Area' initiatives will surely deliver unlimited opportunities to Hong Kong, thereby strengthening the connection between our city's development and progress in mainland China. This tells us: Now is the time to plan a better future together."

He added: "The purpose of the forum reflects our corporate mantra -- 'Your Future, Our Promise'. In this regard, FTLife seeks to become a top-tier international insurance company rooted in Hong Kong, while making inroads into mainland China and expanding throughout the rest of Asia."

FTLife's Regional CEO and CEO Hong Kong, Lennard Yong, said: "The forum enabled key government officials, academics and experts to explore opportunities and formulate policies for the future. FTLife also invited its high-net-worth clients and business partners in order to prepare to navigate challenges and identify new opportunities for development."

He added: "We will accommodate social changes and market dynamics when laying plans for the future, but will continue to put our customers first at all times – especially in terms of providing superior financial planning and medical protection products to serve their needs."
