HONG KONG, March 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- China Mobile, the world's largest telecommunications operator by network scale, customer base and market capitalization, today announces that the memoranda of understanding (MoU) by and between China Mobile International Limited (CMI), StarHub Mobile Pte Ltd (StarHub) and True Corporation Plc (True Corporation) were signed concurrently on 21st March 2016 at the CMI Headquarters in Hong Kong for accelerating strategic cooperation under the framework of CMI "Hand-in-Hand Program" (hereafter referred to as "hi-H Program").
CMI, in this strategic partnership, acts as the principal party being supported by China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) to collaborate with StarHub and True Corporation. The present cooperation was facilitated by CMCC covering five major scopes which include intensify device collaboration on research initiatives for mobile network evolution technologies; strengthen complementary capabilities for data business services; enhance mobile business through global roaming cooperation and information sharing; leverage network resources to maximize efficiency; co-develop new business opportunities in relation to innovation and internet of things.
CMI owns diverse network resources to meet the increasing demands of domestic and overseas interconnections for signaling, data roaming and international broadband services. Coupled with the explosion of LTE roaming, CMI has been developing a global Wi-Fi hub for sharing Wi-Fi network resources in order to deliver the best global digital experience in a high-speed data era. Meanwhile, the Global Resource Improvement Platform (GRIP) was formed within hi-H Program by CMI on a partnership basis and designed to bring together global telecommunications carriers for the realization of a strong eco-network sustained by comprehensive resources, fast delivery, high quality and low cost.

The hi-H Program was initiated by CMI and launched in Shanghai on 14th July 2015.
