OYSTER BAY, New York, March 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- With video communications' ability to enhance collaboration, improve information retention, and increase productivity, ABI Research finds that corporate video management, sharing, and personalized marketing video applications show significant potential in the global enterprise video communications market. The enterprise video training and education market will continue to grow at a nearly 10% CAGR while video marketing systems will exceed a 20% CAGR.

"As organizations aim to integrate multiple video-focused systems under common management frameworks and onto common IT systems, suppliers struggle to integrate historically varied functional constraints into a common platform," says Sam Rosen, Managing Director and Vice President. "Enterprise YouTube systems must be strong enough to meet privacy and records retention policies while effectively servicing internal training video, marketing systems, and employee communication functions. New smartphone use cases and robust network capacities will drive future market consumption."

Notable market competitors in the enterprise YouTube market segment include Kaltura, Media Platform, and Sonic Foundry. Larger companies, such as IBM and Microsoft, are also developing more comprehensive solutions, and this market may be integrated into broader UCS platforms, such as those by Cisco and Microsoft.

"Amazon's entry into the web conferencing market with Chime is weak, but should not be taken out of context," concludes Rosen. "Amazon has a portfolio of enterprise video products that work best in conjunction with Amazon Web Services' (AWS) cloud services, such as the Amazon Elastic Transcoder. Amazon's Chime is likely to precede other components that form a comprehensive enterprise communications portfolio. As all companies expand their offerings within the enterprise communications market, there will be room for suppliers to engage in greater value-added discussions."
