Mr. Michael Yip, one of the founders of Sodata Analytics commented, "Business sector plays an important role in creating a better future and comes hand in hand with the society. Apart from achieving productivity and realizing profitability, listed companies should take up their corporate social responsibilities. In view of the disorganized and scattered listed companies' philanthropy data, a group of enthusiastic capital market elites including myself established the Hong Kong's first Main Board Listed Companies Philanthropy Big Data Platform, to improve and enhance the disclosure and application of donations data released by listed companies. By launching the "2015 Donation Ranking of Main Board Listed Companies in Hong Kong", we hope by promoting our understanding towards listed companies' philanthropy will promote the importance corporate social responsibilities among listed companies, and in the meantime to allow wider public to gain a better understanding of the degree of participation in philanthropy, in order to arouse the attention towards investment in social responsibilities from listed entities and individuals and to contribute to the society on a continuing basis."

Mr. Edward Lashinski, the Ambassador of the Association added, "Nowadays, people care about ranking. But our ranking is not just a bunch of data and methodologies nor a ranking of wealth. Behind the ranking, there is touching stories, there is inspiration, there is love, there is power of change for the society. That is the message we want to bring out today."
