BEIJING, April 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- "Tsinghua University Yinghua Scholars Fund" donation ceremony was held in Beijing. School President of Tsinghua University Qiu Yong, Vice President of Tsinghua University Yang Bin, Tsinghua University Education Foundation Secretary-General Li Jiaqiang together with nine business representatives attended the ceremony and signed the Donation agreement. Huiyuan Group donated RMB 10 million to "Tsinghua University Yinghua Scholars Fund" to support scientific research, discipline construction and personnel training of Tsinghua University.
It is reported that the "Tsinghua University Yinghua Scholars Fund" was established to provide financial support to Tsinghua students with academic interests, humanity and the pursuit of excellence to have one-year exchange at Oxford University and other world-renowned universities, so as to become experts of their fields who are able to tackle China and global problems with innovative solutions. "Yinghua Scholars" project is an important step in the global strategies announced by Tsinghua University in 2016 for developing talents with global competences and promoting "global learning".
