Korea, Sets a Foothold in UAE to Enter the Middle East Content Market

SEOUL, South Korea, March 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA, President Song Sung-gak) announced that it signed an MOU with the Media Zone Authority - Abu Dhabi, who is committed to the continued development of the media industry in Abu Dhabi and began to support the strategic entry into the Middle East.

This MOU was concluded as part of the opening ceremony of the Korean Cultural Center (hereinafter, "KCC") in the UAE on March 10 with the participation of 70 officials from both countries including Park Young-guk, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kwon Hae-ryong, Korean Ambassador to the UAE, Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development of the UAE and Maryam Al Mheiri, Acting CEO of Media Zone Authority-Abu Dhabi.

Based on the MOU, both organizations will endeavor to establish solid bilateral relationship between the two countries and KOCCA will implement vocational training programs participated by Korean companies, business matching programs for start-ups and encourage Korean companies to enter the UAE.

This MOU ceremony was held on screen through the virtual center installed inside the KCC. Noura Al Kaabi, Chairwoman of Media Zone Authority - Abu Dhabi and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and President of Song Sung-gak, KOCCA concluded by signing MOU through an virtually televised on-screen, demonstrating Korea's cutting edge technology at the venue.
